Jordan Ewaskiw, CPA
My first experience with the requirements of accounting involved sorting receipts for a truck driver to file their taxes. Fast forward a number of years and that same detail oriented nature is what contributes to my success.
I attended the University of Alberta and graduated from the Bachelor of Commerce program with a major in Accounting and a minor in Strategic Management. From there, I began articling at a professional accounting firm in Edmonton where I gained valuable experience in preparing personal and corporate tax files. After that, while enrolled in the CPA Western School of Business, I switched jobs and assisted with the start of a family business in the construction industry. The experience that I gained furthered my development by understanding the issues that small business owners face starting and growing a business in the tough Alberta economy.
I received my Chartered Professional Accountant designation in 2017 at which time I decided to combine the tax filing and new business start up experience and offer it to other businesses in Edmonton. I like to see all my clients reach their ultimate success in any way I can assist. Through my experience, I learned that I did not want to become another firm with a tall structure. I found that clients are in contact with staff, work with staff and see the partners responsible for the engagements once a year. I believe in speaking and working on the front line with my clients. This effort allows us to present a different approach to accounting which will make you feel more like a partner and not a number.

Scott Brandabura, CPA
I studied at Grant MacEwen university and graduated with a bachelor of commerce with a major in accounting. While being a student I joined ESS accounting part time to get experience with real world accounting. Upon completing my degree, I began working full time as an associate, working with both personal and corporate tax files.
I began the CPA program with the Western School of business in 2020 and passed the CFE in 2022 with being accepted as a designated member into the profession in 2023. Through my experience I have found that accounting is much more than numbers, and taxes, it’s about the relationship we have with our clients who depend on our knowledge and skills to help them put their best foot forward.
